Your Visit
Your first visit will include a thorough review of your medical history and current symptoms, a physical or gynecologic exam as appropriate, and a clear discussion of any findings and recommended next steps. Dr. Andrei will take the time to answer your questions and explain everything in plain language. See the full step-by-step journey on the Patient Resources page.
You will always be seen by Dr. Andrei. Lapeer Women’s Health is a single-physician practice. Your appointment is with Dr. Andrei — not a nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or other provider substituting for her.
Yes. In-office gynecologic ultrasound, including transvaginal ultrasound, is available at Lapeer Women’s Health. If imaging is indicated at your visit, it can often be performed the same day — no separate imaging appointment needed.
New patient appointments are typically scheduled for more time than follow-up visits. Plan for approximately 45 to 60 minutes for your first visit. You will not feel rushed — Dr. Andrei takes the time that each visit requires.

Surgery & Procedures
Yes. Dr. Andrei performs robotic and laparoscopic gynecologic surgery at McLaren Lapeer Hospital, McLaren Flint Hospital, and Henry Ford Rochester Hospital. If your evaluation leads to a surgical recommendation, you do not need a separate referral to a surgeon — Dr. Andrei handles your care from diagnosis through surgery and recovery.
Dr. Andrei performs a full range of minimally invasive gynecologic procedures including robotic hysterectomy, laparoscopic hysterectomy, myomectomy, endometriosis excision, ovarian cyst removal, prolapse repair, endometrial ablation, LEEP, cold knife conization, colposcopy, tubal ligation, and vulvar and vaginal procedures. See all surgical procedures.
Recovery varies by procedure. Many patients return to light activity within a few days and resume normal daily routines within 1–2 weeks. More extensive procedures such as robotic hysterectomy typically involve 2–4 weeks before returning to full activity. Your specific recovery timeline will be discussed at your pre-surgical appointment.
Absolutely. Dr. Andrei welcomes patients who are seeking a second opinion before proceeding with a surgery recommended elsewhere. A second opinion is always appropriate before any elective surgical procedure.
💻
Telehealth
Yes. Telehealth visits are available for qualifying appointments including follow-up care, medication management, results review, and certain consultations. The Rochester Hills office specifically offers Monday telehealth availability.
Any visit that requires a physical exam, pelvic exam, Pap smear, in-office ultrasound, or an in-office procedure must be done in person. New patient visits that include a full gynecologic evaluation also typically require an in-person appointment.
Most major insurance plans cover telehealth visits, though coverage rules vary. Please verify telehealth coverage with your insurer before your virtual appointment.
What We Treat
Yes. Dr. Andrei does not deliver babies or manage obstetric care. Every patient, every appointment, and every surgery is gynecologic. That focus means deeper expertise, more time per patient, and a clinical environment built entirely around women’s reproductive and pelvic health across every stage of life.
Dr. Andrei evaluates and treats the full scope of gynecologic conditions — heavy periods and abnormal bleeding, endometriosis, pelvic pain, fibroids, menopause and hormonal concerns, pelvic floor and prolapse, bladder symptoms, vaginal symptoms, sexual health, contraception and family planning, abnormal Pap and cervical health, cancer screening, weight management, adolescent gynecology, and PCOS and hormonal imbalance. See the Conditions section for the complete list with detailed condition pages.
Lapeer Women’s Health does not provide: obstetric care or prenatal visits (you need an OB or midwifery practice for pregnancy care); IVF or IUI fertility treatments (Dr. Andrei evaluates gynecologic causes of infertility and provides referrals when indicated); primary care or internal medicine; or active gynecologic cancer treatment (Dr. Andrei manages screening and evaluation and refers to gynecologic oncology when indicated).
Yes — and the answer is almost certainly yes. If it is gynecologic, Dr. Andrei treats it. Call the Lapeer office at (810) 969-4670 or the Rochester Hills office at (248) 923-3522 and the team will confirm whether your concern falls within scope before you schedule.
About the Practice
No. Lapeer Women’s Health is a gynecology-only practice. Dr. Andrei does not provide obstetric care or manage pregnancies. If you are pregnant and need prenatal or delivery care, please contact an OB/GYN practice.
Absolutely. Preventive gynecologic care — including annual well-woman exams, Pap smears, HPV testing, breast exam referrals, and cancer screenings — is a core part of what Lapeer Women’s Health provides. Gynecology-only means no obstetrics, not reduced services.
For non-urgent questions, please call the Lapeer office at (810) 969-4670 or the Rochester Hills office at (248) 923-3522 during office hours. For urgent medical concerns, please call the office directly.
